Fiscal Responsibility: How do we get there?

I believe fiscal responsibility is best demonstrated when we live within our means.
In Nevada and at the federal level, we face unprecedented deficits because we refuse to control our spending. This spending spree cannot continue because it perilously threatens our economic health.
The Nevada Policy Research Institute produced a thoughtful discussion of this issue that I would like to recommend. You can find the article at www.npri.org/publications/about-that-tasc-amendment
Though the paper tackles fiscal issues facing Nevada, I believe the challenges facing us at the federal level can be aided with a similar call to action: a balanced budget amendment.
